		<description><![CDATA[I am not sure who is misunderstanding who (or if there is any) but, for the avoidance of any doubt, I have rectified my inconsistent use of capital letters in this and my previous 2 posts to make it clear that when I use the phrase &#039;Green politics&#039; I am &lt;em&gt;not&lt;/em&gt; referring to Derek Wall&#039;s book but simply to the ideas in his book  - also known as ecological politics and/or ecological economics. (Hence the word &#039;Green&#039; is being used as a proper noun).

Anyway, having cleared that up(?), what do you mean by &lt;em&gt;&quot;as long as you keep them in context&quot;&lt;/em&gt;?  What context is that?  Surely Diamond is either a prophet of doom (to whom we should listen) or he is an environmental alarmist of the worst kind (whom we should dismiss)?  I don&#039;t see that there is any room in his message for compromise...]]></description>
