Thanks Jules. UKIP have a very long way to making a breakthrough in National politics. They will never win a seat at Westminster unless an AV or PR system is introduced. I think the Green Party won its Brighton seat by appealing to Left and Right; whereas UKIP do not seem able to stop themselves from filling the position vacated by most in the Conservative Party… Fortunately for us all, anyone who wants to govern (within our flawed system) must occupy the centre ground.
As a teacher, I find it rather interesting that the Mayans’ calender ends on the last day of school before the holidays! I wonder if it means something
It isn’t, but I wish it was. What I mean by that is that I wish it was the end of the world AS WE KNOW IT. I wish the world would move beyond its addiction to fossil fuels and to exponential growth. I would like to see a new world of sustainability powered by a responsibly and fair economy.
maybe it is – maybe the Mayans predicted the exact moment of peak oil- or even the moment Ukip broke the poll barrier.

It means you don’t have to get out of bed while it is still dark. Enjoy.

But we are not there yet.
